Who is Gingerbread Grandma?

Welcome! I'm glad you decided to visit this page. It's important to know who you're dealing with, particularly on the Internetwhere so many people are not whom they claim to be!

First of all, yes, I really am a grandma. I have a whole bunch of real grandchildren and more "adopted" grandchildren than I can count. (I stopped trying to count them all when I reached 6000)

Probably more important for you to know is that I have a bachelor's degree in child development. I specialized in "Early Childhood Education", which means that I have been teaching school, supervising day-care activities or working directly with children in some other capacity for over 35 years.

My hobbies include collecting and telling fairy tales and legends, doing various kinds of crafts and collecting stuffed animals. I also enjoy writing and preforming puppet shows with all the sewing, costuming, poetry and prop-making that entails.

Do I look like this picture? Only around Hallowe'en (or Samhain, as most Pagans prefer to call it). That is another thing you need to know--I am a Pagan. The activities on these pages are appropriate for any child, but are especially selected because they can be integrated into Pagan family activities and seasonal celebrations.

If you are a non-Pagan parent who feels uncomfortable dealing with someone who believes differently than you do, I invite you to visit any of my pages. You will see that I have no intention of turning your children into something you don't want them to be.

The activities here are wholesome and healthy for any child as long as you take the time to DO THE ACTIVITY WITH YOUR CHILD...that is the secret of raising healthy, wise and loving children no matter what religion you profess to follow.
